Madeline L’Engle – Operation Lexicon 6

$30.00

The words of Madeleine L’Engle are specific, precise, and worthy of collection.

Description

A lexicon is the collected vocabulary of a person. Over the course of 25 weeks, students will explore a cluster of words from the lexicon of Madeleine L’Engle. Using these words in an original way, with inspiration from favorites such as A Wrinkle in Time, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, and A Wind in the Door, will help the budding wordsmith recognize the plasticity of language and delight in its beauty.

In Her Own Words

As human beings, the closet thing we can get to truth is through story. It’s wonderful being able to make a living doing the thing I love the most, which is telling stories.

A book, too, can be a star, explosive material, capable of stirring up fresh life endlessly, a living fire to lighten the darkness, leading out into the expanding universe.
