During this 5-week session, teachers will support students as they journal ideas, explore vocabulary, dive deep into the plot, discuss ideas, receive feedback on the weekly writing exercise, and build a culminating project.
The children, initially warned to stay away from the Birdman and his island, embark on an adventure that reveals a secret about the island’s past and the Birdman’s connection to it. Through their friendship and courage, they confront superstition, learn about the Birdman’s story, and ultimately help restore harmony to their community.
