Description
On the surface, Patricia MacLachlan’s The Poet’s Dog seems to be another dog story about the loyalty and goodness of man’s best friend. But upon closer examination, we find that this thin book toes the line between prose and poetry, exploring abandonment, grief, and love. This short little story, told from the perspective of a dog, tells an amazing tale of finding family in those around us and healing from hurts.
