Description
Anaphora repeats words or phrases at the beginning of successive phrases or clauses to add emphasis, to create rhythm, to build momentum (like so). Both a rhetorical and poetic device, there’s a reason we often find anaphora in persuasive speeches—it’s a powerful way to arrange words!
