Writing is an artform that is meant to be read by a reader! Blackbird & Company Educational Press is proud to announce a call for submissions to student writers, Kindergarten through 12th grade, who courageously write their ideas using our curriculum.

Deadline for submissions is May 31, 2024. Writers will be notified by June 30, 2024.
Reveal Volume 1 will be available to read online and to purchase in print this fall (September 1, 2024).
Rules
- Students in Kindergarten, 1st , and 2nd grade may submit a single photograph (.jpg) of a page of student work from Hatchling or Earlybird materials.
- Students in 3rd – 12th grade may submit written work as a Word or other text document attached to the submission email.
- Label each submission with the student’s name, grade level, and Blackbird material it is related to (For example: Pictures of Hollis Woods Level 3, Storymaker Fairy Tales, Research of John Muir, etc.)
- Do not submit pdf, jpg, or other image formats.
- ALL entries must include the following in the body of the email:

I hereby grant Blackbird & Company (BBCo), permission to use my submitted writing and/or images for display or promotion. I acknowledge that BBCo will own such Images and further grant the permission to copyright, display, publish, distribute, use, modify, print and reprint such Images in any manner whatsoever related to business, including without limitation, publications, advertisements, brochures, web site images, or other electronic displays and transmissions thereof. I further waive any right to inspect or approve the use of the Image prior to its use. I forever release and hold harmless from any and all liability arising out of the use of the Images in any manner or media whatsoever, and waive any and all claims and causes of action relating to use of the Images, including without limitation, claims for invasion of privacy rights or publicity.
