Shakespeare’s Yellow Leaves

Sonnet 73 by William Shakespeare begins like this:

When yellow leaves, or none, or few, do hang
Upon those boughs which shake against the cold

Sara’s beaded leaf is inspired by Shakespeare’s falling leaves. This is a wonderful time of year to help our students add to their fund of knowledge.

Why are leaves different shapes and sizes?

Why do leaves change color?

What exactly is photosynthesis?

All great questions to ponder in fall.  Step outside to observe fall in your neck of the woods. What do you discover about the leaves of October?
