During this 5-week session, teachers will explore the life of a significant person and help students gain specific vocabulary to describe such a person. Each week students will gather notes and craft a body paragraph to be included in the culminating biographical essay during week 4. The last week is dedicated to culminating activities.
His lifelong dream to write a children’s book about a mouse would take years to get published before it became the classic book we know and love today—Stuart Little. A few years later, White would publish yet another children’s book inspired by a pig he had raised and a spider whose webs he loved to admire in his barn—Charlotte’s Web.
