A Complete Kindergarten Language Arts Curriculum
This collection includes everything you need for a fun and successful year of Kindergarten language arts, including our CORE offering plus carefully curated APPLICATION elements. This collection will offer the tools, training, practice, and inspiration needed to introduce students to the wide world of language arts with an integrated, multi-sensory approach just right for Kindergarten. Our pre-selected collections make shopping + lesson planning simple by providing all the materials needed for the year in one click.
1. Hatchling Reading, Writing, Phonics – Volume 1 Complete
Hatchling Reading and Writing through Phonics Complete, includes everything you need to support your student through a rich language arts experience. The multi-sensory materials will introduce new concepts and provide the opportunity for practice and review. This CORE offering includes a Teacher Helps booklet with introductory information and strategies for teachers to inspire students along the way. Scheduling and simple daily instruction is built in to the eight student guides (1A-1H). Workbooks organized according to phonics instruction, are tied to multi-sensory activities using objects, self-correcting visual flashcards, plus cut and paste-pictures. Beautifully illustrated picture books are utilized to spark idea making. Just Right Readers (Bob Books), are at the ready to practice sight words gleaned each week.
2. Calendar of Days
How many days left until summer? Students will learn the answer to this important question the fun way! Daily journaling of numbers, seasons, weather, months, and weeks, creates a sense of anticipation for each new day. This yearlong unit is designed to begin each school day, building confidence and independent observational skills into your students. This bundle includes the student journal, a calendar teacher white board, dry erase markers, and two related picture books.
3. Kickstarter Child Made Books
This set includes 15 “just right readers” that will kickstart reading! Each coloring booklet introduces two new words embedded in the story, increasing your student’s sight word vocabulary in a fun and engaging way. Complexity increases across time.
4. Moveable Alphabet
This time tested tool helps students practice spelling in a tactile way that enables them to visualize phonics as all of the wooden consonants are red and vowels, blue.
5. Sand Tray
This tray, with a covered lid, is a multi sensory device for children to practice letter formation and spelling.
6. Toobaloo
Whispering into this tool provides auditory feedback that helps students to listen, pronounce, and spell.
Schedule / Pacing
Daily: Each day your student will be directed into specific tasks that will pace the week’s activities.
Weekly: Introduction to Phonics Concepts, Handwriting, Sight Words, Read Aloud & Journal Writing, Just Right Readers, Fine Motor Activities, Review
Yearly: Students will complete work that fulfills ELA learning standards for the year.
